The Path to Stars

The Path to Stars is an installation of major new work by Sandra Cinto at Tanya Bonakdar Gallery (November 5–December 18, 2026), including new paintings, wall paintings, and folding screens. The works examine the sun and the stars and investigate perception through contrasts, with a dark blue tondo titled Nocturne at the entrance, a large tondo Aurora depicting sunrise, a series of smaller skyscapes of daytime, and pieces that culminate in the inky blue of dusk. Two large biombos divide the space—one side rendered in gold and the other with loose gestural brushstrokes against a blue background—and the exhibition frames the 'middle' between opposites as a field of inquiry rather than a point of balance.
