When the Center Holds
Luke Agada
Sep 11 - Oct 31 · Tue-Fri 11:00-18:00, Sat 10:00-18:00
475 10th Avenue, New York, NY 10018
The exhibition presents a new body of paintings and drawings by Nigerian artist Luke Agada, his first solo show with the gallery, featuring incorporeal figures, fragmented architectures, and biomorphic forms in dreamlike landscapes. The works examine contemporary identity through themes of globalization, migration, and postcolonial thought, framing the “center” as a relational space where memory, translation, and belonging persist amid historical and cultural transformation.
