KNOTTING, TYING, FOLDING

KNOTTING, TYING, FOLDING is an exhibition of sculptures by Lynda Benglis at Pace Gallery’s 540 West 25th Street, on view September 11–October 24, 2026. The presentation includes works made between 1972 and 2024—glazed ceramics, bronze, pleated wire-mesh, and paper sculptures—and spotlights rarely exhibited sand-cast glass sculptures from 1985. Highlighted works and series include Sparkle Knot IV (1972), pleated wall-mounted sculptures from 1982–1990, paper sculptures from 2016–2020, the multi-part Elephant Necklace (2016), recent large-scale reflective bronze pieces, and small ceramic works from the 2010s.
