Stairwell Drawings

The installation consists of nine drawings by David Byrne drawn on the walls of Pace’s stairwell landings between the first and seventh floors; Byrne produced them over several days in April 2025 and rendered the figures at life-size so the public will "confront" and experience them in new ways. The page notes the works reflect Byrne’s surreal and playful sensibility, states the exhibition began on Apr 10, 2025 (listing Apr 10, 2025–Dec 31, 2026), and that the installation is currently closed for new installations but will reopen on Thursday, Sep 10; the drawings are described as being on view indefinitely.
