The exhibition presents a new body of work by Los Angeles–based painter Lari Pittman at Lehmann Maupin in New York, on view October 29–December 19, 2026, and includes twelve new paintings and ten works on paper. The works draw on a wide spectrum of historical and pop culture sources and assemble dense compositions from elements such as street signs, textiles, storybook illustrations, cityscapes, dream imagery, and bits of text in several languages, with hot air balloons noted as a recurring touchstone.
