Bruce Nauman, Tacita Dean

Oct 19 - Dec 19 · Tue–Sat 10:00–18:00

79 Rue du Temple, 75003 Paris

The exhibition at Marian Goodman Gallery Paris presents a collaborative 35mm film diptych, Drawing Blind Drawing (2026), by Tacita Dean and Bruce Nauman. The silent diptych focuses on the artists’ hands as they draw, using two “torn” masks derived from Nauman’s collage and two different paper grounds (one with blackboard paint, the other with white silverpoint acrylic); in each film one artist draws blind while the other assists, and their roles switch between the two halves. The double 35mm projection runs over seven meters and is diagonally divided into four interweaving sequences in which the gold- and silverpoint drawings emerge; the exhibition also shows Nauman’s collage and is accompanied by a booklet and scheduled screenings of Tacita Dean’s 16mm films.
