Aus dem Auge, aus dem Sinn is a solo exhibition by Katja Strunz presented by Contemporary Fine Arts with the ACT Art Collection at Siggi Loch’s private gallery in the Oskar Kaufmann villa in Grunewald, bringing together paintings, works on paper and sculptures. The show frames the proverb “out of sight, out of mind” to explore accelerated temporality and what Strunz terms a “post‑traumatic compression of space and time,” and includes works such as Are We Enfolding or Going to Unfold (2022) and the collage Shift (2012). The house also contains Loch’s postwar and contemporary collection, the exhibition links to ACT album covers that have used Strunz’s pulp paintings, and Johanna Summer performs in the exhibition on 13 September.
